I    About the School

Q1. What is the vision of the school?

  • To uphold our school motto, Service Before Self.

  • To be an integral part of the community and enrich it.

  • To prepare the students for a changing brave new world.

  • To nurture upright global citizens with a strong moral fiber ready to be the torch bearers of a resurgent India of the new millennium.

Q2. How is learning imparted?

  • Learning is embedded in play. We use play to teach through hands-on activities which allow the young learners to take one step at a time. All our activities are fun and student oriented. The main aim is to foster learning in all dimensions- cognitive, emotional, social, moral as well as physical./p>

Q3. Where are the Pre-Nursery classes located?

  • Pre-Nursery classes are housed in the Infant Wing at Sector- 40, so the little ones can have their own happy space.

  • For all administrative / transport issues, parents have to approach the main school in Sector-45.

  • Please note that the promotion of the child from Infant Wing to Primary Wing and subsequently to the Senior School, Sector-45 is seamless and no readmission is required.

Q4. What are the school timings? Is there a prescribed uniform?

  • School Timings for Pre –Nursery:
    Summer Timings: 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
    Winter Timings : 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

  • There is a uniform prescribed for the students.

Q5. What are the school transport norms?

  • The school transport facility is available for students only on pre-existing routes.

  • A teacher, maid and conductor escort the students on each bus route.

  • Additionally, the buses are air-conditioned and GPS enabled. The students' attendance on the bus is recorded automatically through their Radio Frequency Identity Cards (RFID) as they board the bus.

  • Each bus is equipped with a CCTV camera and a First Aid Kit.

Q6. Does the school provide a meal for the students?

  • Pre-Nursery students are given a wholesome healthy meal in school. This inculcates good eating habits and enhances independence.

Q7. What is the school protocol for health and safety?

The safety and well-being of all the students is of prime importance to us. A few of the safeguards in place:

  • The classes are never left unsupervised. Each class has a helper maid assigned to it.

  • There are round the clock security guards and CCTV cameras at designated places.

  • Security guards monitor the entry and exit of each visitor.

  • Identity cards have been provided to the students, parents and staff which are mandatory for entering the school.

  • Regular fire drills and safety audits are carried out to keep a check.

  • Training sessions for housekeeping staff, transport department and security guards are held regularly.

  • Infant Wing houses a well-equipped medical room.

  • The school has a dedicated nurse in the medical room during the school hours.

  • Daily visits by the school doctor.

  • An ambulance is stationed at the school premises.

  • General health check-up is conducted for each child by the school doctor which includes eye and dental check-up also.

  • Regular supervision of cleanliness of the school campus, lunch room and toilets.

  • Fumigation of the school premises is also carried out regularly.

Q8. Does the school provide day care facilities?

  • The school does not offer any day care facility for the students.

Q9. What is the student-teacher ratio?

  • The student- teacher ratio is 13 students :1 teacher

  • Average class size: 25

Q10. How are parents informed about the progress of their child?

  • Parent Teacher Meetings are held at regular intervals.

Q11. How are parents involved in the school?

  • The school believes in a strong partnership with parents. There is an active Parent Teacher Association (PTA) which meets at regular intervals to discuss the school’s progress and offer their suggestions.

II Eligibility

Q1. What is the age criteria for Pre-Nursery?

  • For Pre-Nursery: 3+ as on 30 September, 2023

Q2. What if the candidate is overage / underage by a day?

  • The school is firm about the age criteria and the child’s application will not be put in for the draw. Incorrect forms are automatically invalidated.

Q3. How is the admission granted?

  • The Admission is granted through Draw of Lots according to seat allocation in the given categories. The seats are divided into the following categories:

Q4.Where is the date for the Draw of Lots mentioned?

  • The date for the Draw of Lots will be mentioned on the school portal.

Q5. When and how can the list of shortlisted candidates be viewed?

  • The consolidated list of the shortlisted and the waitlisted candidates under each category can be viewed on the school portal by 6 p.m. on the working day following the Draw of Lots.

Q6. Where can the Fee structure be viewed?

  • The Fee structure for 2022-23 can be viewed on the school portal. (Subject to change)

Q7. What is the due date for fee and other formalities?

  • Fee formalities for shortlisted candidates should be completed according to the schedule given below:

  • Rs 20,000 (non-refundable) to reserve the seat and show intent to admit the child by the due date announced on the day of the draw. (Generally 48 hours will be given to complete these formalities)

  • Balance should be paid by Friday, 16 December 2022 at the Accounts Office in Sector-45.

  • Non-compliance will invalidate the candidature and the seat will be offered to the next person on the waiting list.

Q8. If the candidate’s name is not shortlisted in the first list, what is the next step?

  • A wait list is prepared for each category on the day of the draw. As and when a vacancy occurs the next name on the wait list is intimated by the school.

III Steps to follow

For Registration

  • Download the form using the link given at the end of this page.

  • Ensure that the candidate meets the age criteria.

  • Attach the self attested documents specified in the Registration Form.

  • Submit the duly filled Registration Form with self attested documents (Municipal Birth Certificate, Proof of residence), one recent passport size photograph of the candidate (with the name written in capital letters on the reverse side of the photograph) and registration fee to the School Administrative Office at DPS Gurgaon, Sector-45 latest by Wednesday, 24 August, 2022 (12 noon).

  • Parents are requested not to leave the registration process for the last few days.

  • The registration counter may have a queue as COVID norms will be followed. Please be patient while you wait for your turn.

Post-registration

  • Kindly carry the registration slip, one recent passport size photograph of the candidate (with the name written in capital letters on the reverse side of the photograph) and original documents of photocopies submitted along with the Registration Form to be verified at DPS Gurgaon, Primary Wing, Sector- 47.

  • Please adhere to the scheduled date and time stamped on the Verification slip for the same. The child needs to accompany the parent at the time of verification.

Dates to remember

  • For downloading the form: 8 August, 2022 to 22 August, 2022

  • Last date for submission of duly filled form: 24 August,2022 (12 noon)

  • Duly filled forms should be registered and deposited at School Administrative Office, DPS Gurgaon, Sector-45 on all working days between 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. from 8 August, 2022 to 22 August, 2022 and not later than 12 noon, 24 August, 2022.
